(To watch the full media session with sign language interpretation, click here.)   Secretary for the Civil Service Patrick Nip said the Government suspended the BioNTech vaccination upon receipt of a written notification from Fosun Industrial Co this morning.   Explaining the vaccination suspension at a media session this afternoon, Mr Nip said: “We received the written notification from Fosun Industrial Co this morning. For Hong Kong’s situation, we have two batches of BioNTech vaccines.   “Upon receipt of the written notification, colleagues liaised with Fosun Industrial Co to understand the situation and notified the community vaccination centres about the suspension of the BioNTech vaccination and then we issued the press release to make the formal announcement at around 10am.”   He also apologised for any inconvenience caused to those who had reserved their BioNTech vaccination for today.   “As the written notification was received this morning, there were bound to be people who made the booking for today and then arrived at the vaccination centre and found out that the vaccination was suspended.   “We issued an SMS notification to all who had made their booking for today and let them know about the latest arrangement.”
