TD extends online booking service

The Transport Department today announced that it has extended its online appointment booking service to cover the submission of over-the-counter applications for all driving licences and four types of driving tests.   From today, the public can book an appointment for over-the-counter applications at the department’s Licensing Offices for full driving licences (first issue), probationary driving licences, learner’s driving licences, driving instructor’s licences, direct issue of full driving licences and temporary driving licences.   They can also make an online appointment to apply for a driving test for private car, light goods vehicle, motorcycle and motor tricycle.   The opening period for online appointments is 10 weeks.   An applicant may submit one application for the above-mentioned driving licences within a scheduled time slot.   If an applicant makes an appointment to apply for a driving test, he or she may also submit an application for a learner’s driving licence under the name of the same applicant at the same time.   Additionally, iAM Smart holders can make online appointment bookings for counter services at the department's Licensing Offices through the system.   The Licensing Offices are open 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.
